Each year the Bay Area Blues Society and the Alameda County Fair work together to bring the public a great
line-up of notable performers who excel in their craft.   This non-stop  festival features outstanding blues and R&B
acts found throughout the country.
AMY LOU'S BLUES                                 12:00 P.M.

Amy Lou’s Blues is an exciting, high energy jump blues band that plays a wide variety
of rockin roots music that gets people moving and up on their feet!  This highly
entertaining band of hep cats features Amy Lou on blues-shouting vocals, sass and
swagger!  They keep it jumpin! The Amy Lou’s Blues Band puts on a great show, they
are one helluva good time!
BOBBY YOUNG                                     1:00 P.M.

The Bobby Young Project is a collaboration of musicians whose objective is to create
music that touches the heart and soul. Our music is a mixture of "Traditional"and
"Contemporary", "Blues", "Rock", "R & B" and "Jazz", all of which have historical
"Tribal" origins, as do all of us.
TWICE AS GOOD                                  3:00 P.M.

Twice As Good is the professional name of the music duo formed by Paul Anthony
Steward (Son, born 1984) and Richard James Steward (Father, born 1951) from
Clearlake Oaks, CA. Pomo Indians of the Elem Indian Colony. Richard had grown up
around music all his life, learned to play guitar and sing. He mostly admired the Blues
& Soul. When Paul was a young teenager, Richard taught Paul to play guitar,
encouraging him to be a Lead Guitarist.
J. C. SMITH BLUES BAND                     2:00 P.M.

JC Smith is an outstanding performer noted for his energy and charisma.  Prior to
playing guitar, he was the drummer for the Back to Back Blues Band, which released
two CDs that were well received by Blues lovers and critics alike.  In 2000, he emerged
from behind his drums, armed with a Gibson 335.  J. C. attacks the Blues as if he is
being guided by masters like T-Bone Walker, Albert King, and Johnnie Guitar Watson.
BLUES HARMONICA EXPLOSION        6:15 P.M.
featuring Birdlegg, Kyle Rowland and Bennie Hernandez

Perry.  Recently returned from a date at Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Perry.

ZAKIYA HOOKER                                 4:00 P.M.

Zakiya Hooker is John Lee Hooker's living legacy. She is the singer-songwriter
daughter of this American Icon and she is carrying her father's seminal blues torch
confidently into the future. Zakiya's jazzy blues sounds will take you in and out of songs
like "Hey Lady", "Baby You Busted", "New Orleans Rain", "Protect Me From The
Blues", "Crossroads", "Stones In My Passway" and many more to entertain you.
CARAVAN OF ALLSTARS                     5:00 P.M.     

Jose Jazz Festival, Portland Waterfront Blues Festival,  Monterey Bay Blues Festival,
Thailand for tsunami survivors. The Caravan  released their second CD on 50/50
command performance for President Bill Clinton and first fundraising performances in
Thailand for tsunami survivors. The Caravan  released their second CD on 50/50
Records entitled "The Music They Played on 7th Street". The band consists of Ronnie
Stewart, lead guitar; Robert "Hollywood" Jenkins, Rhythm Guitar; Dalhart Johnson &
Henry Williams, bass guitar; Rich Forman, keyboards; Donnie Kountz & David "Stix"
Boyette, drums; John Middleton, Carl Green and Sahar Miller, the “Sweet Meat Horn
and a host of other great bay area artists .Section”. Vocalists include Wylie Trass, Teddy
"Blues Master" Watson, Terrible Tom, and a host of other great bay area artists .
CHICK WILLIS                                   7:15 P.M.

and up until Chuck’s death in 1958, Chick toured with Chuck’s review across  the
country.  It was with this band that Chick solidified his concept of a satisfying stage
undoubtedly primed when he gigged in the 60’s with Rudy Ray Moore of “Petie show.  
Chick has since fronted his own band and has become one of the most in-demand
Wheatstraw” fame.performers on the Blues and R&B circuit.  His penchant for raucous
humor was undoubtedly primed when he gigged in the 60’s with Rudy Ray Moore of
